Wasson Way is a huge opportunity for Greater Cincinnati!
In the coming years, the trail will impact thousands of residents in Avondale, Evanston, Norwood, Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout, and beyond. And while the Wasson Way Organization stays focused on the work of simply getting the trail built, who is paying attention to the development that is happening alongside the trail?
Protect Our Trail was started by a group of residents from Norwood and Cincinnati — who have NO AFFILIATION with the Wasson Way organization — who want to see productive, community-oriented development along the trail. We believe that:
- Citizens should be informed about and included in the development process.
- There should be a comprehensive vision for development along the trail.
- Development along the trail should be geared toward pedestrians and cyclists — not cars.
If you have the same vision for Wasson Way, then we invite you to get involved.
Why a PAC?
While some might think political action committees (PACs) are suspicious, they are actually the legal, transparent way to fund the spread of a political message. PACs are filed with the Hamilton County Board of Elections and require at least one go-to person.
For the Raising Awareness in Norwood PAC, Norwood resident Candace Winterbauer is in charge. It is Candace and a group of her friends and neighbors who are leading the effort to protect our trail.
